The Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Undi West Godavari District was sanctioned by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and was established on 9th November 1995. under the administrative control of Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

 

FUNCTIONS OF KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA, UNDI

Organizing training programmes to farmers, farm women and extension functionaries

Developing good quality paddy seed for farmers and other agencies.

Establishing demonstration units viz, Vermi compost, Poultry, Horticulture nursery, Fish and prawn etc.

Testing and verifying the latest technologies and varieties on farmers fields and at KVK farm through On Farm Trails, Front line demonstrations and refinement of the  recommendations.

Motivating farmers for adopting new technologies in Agriculture and allied disciplines

Transferring latest Agricultural and allied technologies with suitable communication methods
